SPOT Connect wins award

The recent development of SPOT Connect (not yet available in Europe) has already had a great response having only been released earlier this month. SPOT Connect is a satellite communicator capable of sending messages via satellite from some of the world’s leading smartphones.

This means that unlike the SPOT GPS Messenger, you will be able to send custom text messages with GPS position from their smartphone over the Globalstar satellite network from virtually anywhere in the world. This means you can be explicit as to what kind of help you need and give the rescuers more direct information on your predicament. (more…)
